D.C. police say a 19-year-old man died after being shot in the head in Southeast DC Saturday night, June 2, 2012
Officers were called to the 1200 block of Trenton Place just after 9 p.m. When they arrived, they found Antwan Lamont Petty suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
This is the second homicide on that same block in just under two months. Family and Community members highly suspect Antwan Lamont Petty was the victim of a recent string of Murders in the SouthEast DC Community. Back on April 18, Sirrocco Delonte Johnson was found shot in the head and pronounced dead at the crime scene. The ongoing investigation on the Antwan Lamont Petty murder investigation and the case that happened April 18, 2012 in Southeast DC are ongoing but suspected linked to same killer.
If you have any information that can help police, call (202) 727-9099. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction of anyone wanted for a homicide committed in the district.
